Very Valentine

After the Christmas and New Year holiday season, I love looking forward to Valentine's Day! Usually the weather turns gray and gloomy and January/February crawl on by. This year, however, we have been blessed with abnormally sunny, weather and I have found myself surprised that it's only a few weeks until Valentine's Day! Creative FUEL: GLOWING green....

Health is very important to me. I am a firm believer in fueling my body with the best possible foods to keep it running in the best possible condition. Enter my GLOWING green drink from Kimberly Snyder.

I first found out about Kimberly from a post that my friend Kaleigh Lundy (yoga and fitness expert) shared. The book, The Beauty Detox Solution, has greatly improved my health and energy level! At my eye appointment this year my eyes had actually improved one step! My optometrist attributed this to my green drinks and all of the lutein that I'm consuming. Being someone whose livelihood and passion is dependent upon the perfect condition of my eyes, I was very excited about this!

In the spirit of Valentine's Day (it's less than a month away now!), and love in general, I've created some new prints! I believe you should celebrate the love you feel for family and friends every day, but I also love occasions that really highlight a person or relationship such as birthdays, anniversaries, and Valentine's Day. Just keep growing...

I was just interviewed by a very talented illustration student. I was so flattered and it was wonderful! It also reminded me of how I never just sit and sketch in my sketchbook- which is something that all of my wonderful teachers encouraged. I have colleagues that are brilliant at this, and admire many other professionals that keep beautiful sketchbooks. (Have you ever seen Sabrinah Ward Harrison's work?!)
